Social Responsibility

At EuroSort, we believe that sustainability is not just an option – it is a responsibility. As a leading OEM of automated sortation solutions, we are committed to minimizing our environmental impact while maximizing efficiency and innovation for our customers. We look to all of our stakeholders when we talk about social responsibility, including our employees, our customers, and our suppliers. Here’s how we contribute to the well-being of our communities, our employees, our customers, and how we will work on a better future together:

Our sustainability commitments:

Our sustainability initiatives go beyond just words. It is embedded in our strategy, our product design, our production facilities and our philosophy. Here are just a few of the initiatives we have:

  • Energy-Efficient Solutions: Our automated sortation solutions are designed to consume less energy without compromising performance. Our Flex Drive system was a game-changer for lowering the overall energy requirements of our sorters, and generally our systems are under 50 amps of operating power.
  • Reducing Waste: We strive to minimize waste at every stage of our operations. Our sorters are made of recyclable aluminum and no-weld frameworks. This allows our modular sorters to be easily refurbished, or moved, extending their product life cycles, and reducing the need for replacements. We have also adopted lean manufacturing principles and have robust recycling programs in our facilities.
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction: We are also dedicated to lowering our carbon emissions. From optimizing transportation logistics, to reducing energy use in our offices and production sites, every effort contributes to a smaller footprint. Our newest extension to our HQ in ‘s-Graveland is fully powered with the energy of our own solar panels, and preparations are already made for future energy storage with battery banks.

Social Responsibility

As mentioned Sustainability extends beyond environmental impact and therefore Social Reponsibility is an integral part of our mission to create a better future. Some of the key contributions:

  • Employee well-being: We prioritize the health, safety, and professional growth of our employees by fostering an inclusive workplace, offering ongoing training and ensuring safe working conditions. Whether you work in the office, from home or on site, this is our commitment to our employees.
  • Community engagement: We support local communities through charitable initiatives, educational partnerships and sponsorships of local sports clubs. We partner with high schools for internships and lectures, but also invite groups of interested people to visit our facilities for an afternoon of information and learning.
  • Ethical practices: Integrity is at the heart of our operations. We adhere to ethical business practices, promote fair labor conditions, and work to eliminate inequality in all forms. Our suppliers are held to our supplier code of conduct where all of these practices are meticulously described.
  • Supporting diversity: We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

Recognition

In Q1 of 2025, EuroSort was honored with a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, scoring in the 83rd percentile among global companies. EcoVadis is widely regarded as the global standard for assessing sustainable and resilient supply chains, making this recognition a significant achievement in our ongoing commitment to responsible business practices.

Earlier this year, EuroSort was also recognized by the Green Business Benchmark (GBB) with a prestigious Gold rating during our first U.S.-based assessment of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts. This result reflects our dedication to integrating sustainability and ethics across our operations.

Additionally, at the end of 2024, EuroSort earned a 3-Star rating from the Dutch Stichting MVO-Register (CSR Register Foundation). This was our first official measurement in the areas of Transparency, Impact, and Management of Corporate Social Responsibility.

These achievements confirm that we are taking the right actions to build a more sustainable and socially responsible business. More importantly, they offer valuable guidance for how we can continue to grow and improve. We are proud of this progress—and excited to aim even higher in 2025 and beyond!
